CAMPERVAN RENTAL AGREEMENT

1. Minimum Campervan Hire
Minimum campervan hire is 2 days up to 28 days. Minimum hire in July-August is 7 days, unless otherwise agreed with vantourgo.co.uk.

2. Passenger's
Our Citroen Relay (Milly) has seatbelts for 3 passengers and our VW Transporter (Mable) has seat belts for 4 passengers. At no time can anyone travel in our campervans without abiding to the seating capacity of each campervan while the vehicles are in motion.

3. DRIVERS
Drivers must be between the 25 and 79 years of age. A refundable security deposit of £1000.00 to cover campervan insurance excess in case of an accident is payable one week before hire commences. This also covers breakages whilst using the campervan. A refund will be paid in full within 14 days after the campervan/vehicle is returned, once it has been checked and signed off in good working order. I authorise vantourgo.co.uk to deduct any damages and/or costs incurred during my hire period out of my Security/Damage Deposit.
If your licence is within the EU, Canada, USA, Australia or New Zealand our insurance will advise of any additional insurance excess.
You will need 3 forms of ID such as a passport, both sides of driving licence, utility bill, mobile phone bill or a bank statement no less than one month old with the names and addresses of each driver. These can be scanned or a mobile phone photo sent to vantourgo@gmail.com with the booking reference. The genuine documents will also need to be brought with you on the day of hire for vantourgo.co.uk to copy or scan for our records (maximum 2 drivers per campervan, there is no additional charge for a second driver if the drivers licence meets our criteria). I the hirer understand that I am solely responsible for all hire and insurance costs related to the hire of vantourgo.co.uk campervan/vehicle. If a second driver is added to the insurance, then both drivers are equally responsible for the hire of the campervan/vehicle for all damages, road traffic violations, insurance costs and legal charges/fees incurred. Vantourgo.co.uk will perform a DVLA Licence Check using the last 8 digits of your driving licence and a check code from you to validate your licence. Hirers are responsible for any road traffic violation (e.g. speeding, parking tickets, accident etc.) which is incurred during the hire period. Your personal information will be provided to law enforcement/DVLA if asked, due to a road traffic act violation you incurred during your hire. All drivers must be present for collection of your chosen campervan on the first day of hire.

4. Campervan Hire Rates and Inclusions
Unlimited mileage in the UK.
UK standard motor insurance
UK breakdown cover
Foreign payments through vantourgo.co.uk payment system may incur additional charges.
UK payments are free.

5. Booking
A booking is only valid once 50% of the booking fee (DEPOSIT) has been paid and confirmation has been received from vantourgo.co.uk with all checks completed. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due 21 days before start of hire Vantourgo.co.uk will do their utmost to fulfil their contract to have a campervan ready for you to hire. We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen accidents or damage caused by the last hirer resulting in the campervan being unusable. In such a case you will be fully refunded or offered another booking in the future.

6. Campervan Extras
There are several extra’s such as folding bikes and awnings which you can add when using the booking form. You can also add any extras on the day you collect your campervan.
I the hirer am fully responsible for the use and care of any extras.
Any damage or theft of these items will be paid for from my Breakage Deposit to vantourgo.co.uk.
Gas is supplied with each campervan free of charge and if you need to buy more gas while away, please keep hold of the receipt and we will reimburse you.

7. Cancellation Charges/Fees
1 week or less 100% of booking
2 weeks or less 85% of booking
3 weeks or less 60% of booking
4 weeks or less 40% of booking
5 weeks or less 30% of booking
6 weeks or less receives a Full Refund if booking cancelled before hire commences.
£1000 breakage deposit is always fully refundable if a cancellation happens before booking date departure.
Vantourgo.co.uk cannot be held responsible for cancellation due to hirers ill health. We recommend you take out holiday insurance cover in case you need to cancel due to ill health and claim through your insurance policy.
Vantourgo.co.uk will fully refund the hirer if it is our decision to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances.

8. Rental and Other charges
I the hirer agree to pay:
All hire charges/fees
A Refundable Security Deposit of £1000
The nominated cancellation charge/fee in the event I the hirer cancels the booking.
Any charges/fees due to an accident in line with the insurance excess.
Any charges/fees due to road traffic violation including private parking charges/fees
Any administration fees incurred by vantourgo.co.uk dealing with law enforcement/DVLA or private complaints i.e. parking on private land.
Any charges/fees to recover a vehicle due to inappropriate use of the vehicle.
Any charges/fees due to an act whereby the hirer invalidates vehicle insurance the hirer will be liable for all costs due.
Vantourgo.co.uk will add 1.5% interest for each month that any debt is owed until paid in full.
Vantourgo.co.uk reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee of £85 if the campervan is returned in a soiled/unclean condition.
If your dog is coming along for the ride, there is a pet cleaning charge/fee of £45.
If the wastewater tank is left full and not cleaned there will be a charge/fee of £20.
If the portable toilet is left full and not cleaned there will be a charge/fee of £45.
Late return of your campervan can spoil the next hirers plans so a charge/fee will be applied as follows..
1 hour late £30
More than 1 hour late £50

9. Campervan Collection and Return
14.00 pm collection time, please allow 1 hour for paperwork and handover.
10.30 am return time, please allow ½ an hour for paperwork and handover. Having enjoyed your time away it is paramount you contact us if you are running late as this will have a knock-on effect for our next hirers
On return I the hirer will have emptied and cleaned the portable toilet and grey water tank and I am aware of charges/fees if this is not completed.
I the hirer will return the campervan with a full tank of fuel. There is a petrol station 2 minutes from our location on the Balcombe Road.

10. Title to the Vehicle
I the Hirer have hired this campervan from vantourgo.co.uk and have no ownership or title whatsoever. I the hirer acknowledge that vantourgo.co.uk owns the campervan/vehicle I have hired outright, I have no legal claim to this campervan/vehicle. I will return it at the end of my hire period in a clean, safe and sound condition.

11. Use Of The Vehicle
I the hirer agree to take care of the campervan/vehicle and will not allow the campervan/vehicle to be:
Driven in a way that could cause damage to the campervan/vehicle or other road users.
Drive the campervan/vehicle while under the influence of drink or drugs.
To be left unattended without locking the doors, setting alarm and using the pedal lock.
Driven by anyone not on the insurance as agreed with vantourgo.co.uk.
Used to tow any vehicle or trailer.
Used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward.

12. Alterations to The Vehicle
I shall not make any alterations or additions in any way, shape or form to the vehicle without prior written consent of vantourgo.co.uk.

13. Maintenance
I shall take all reasonable steps to properly maintain the vehicle, checking water and oil levels after every 7 days of use.
I will contact vantourgo.co.uk with any issues with the campervan and understand any agreement between me and vantourgo.co.uk regards costs incurred fixing an issue will be reimbursed on showing receipts on my return.
I also understand any issue caused by me the hirer due to negligence will be taken from my Security Deposit.
If I have a flat tyre, I will either change it using the vehicles spare tyre or call the recovery company named in my vehicles welcome pack.
If I get a second puncture, I will contact Vantourgo.co.uk to help solve the issue.

All vantourgo.co.uk campervans use diesel fuel.
I the hirer am responsible for filling up the campervan with the correct fuel.
I the hirer am aware that vantourgo.co.uk has labelled the type of fuel on the dashboard and on the fuel flap.

14. Responsibility
When an accident occurs, there are insurance details in your campervans welcome pack to give to the third party.
Do not discuss the accident with the third party other than obtaining their registration, names and address, also a brief description of their vehicle including identification marks in case of a non-insured driver.
Take photos of the car and driver.
Contact vantourgo.co.uk ASAP and we will contact our insurers for advice and get back to you.
I understand that there is an insurance excess of £1000 to pay which will be deducted from my Breakage Deposit held by vantourgo.co.uk plus any other costs resulting from the accident.

15. INSURANCE
Vantourgo.co.uk has taken out Insurance Cover with Alan Boswell Insurance Brokers and are insured with Allianz Insurance plc Ref: 0/VANT18SD01 Exclude under 25/Over 75/under 2year full licence/Excess £1000/Glass £500
Liability Cover/Allianz Insurance plc

16. Release and Indemnity of vantourgo.co.uk
Subject to its obligation to deliver the vehicle, I the hirer release vantourgo.co.uk, it’s employees and agents, from any liability to me the hirer (regardless of who’s at fault) for any loss or damage incurred by me the hirer by reason of this agreement, including but not limited to: Any loss or damage caused by breakdown, mechanical defects, accident or the vehicle being unsuitable for my purpose. Any loss or damage to any property left in or on the vehicle, in any service vehicle or on any vantourgo.co.uk premises or recovered or handled by vantourgo.co.uk. Subject to any insurance arrangements agreed with vantourgo.co.uk, I the hirer hereby indemnify and shall keep indemnified vantourgo.co.uk, it’s employees and agents against any claims demands and expenses (including legal fees) incurred or sustained by them or any of them by reason of my use and or possession of the vehicle. Instances beyond vantourgo.co.uk control that means they cannot release the vehicle to me due to a prior accident or fault with the vehicle. In this instance, vantourgo.co.uk will endeavour to find a replacement vehicle or give a full refund of the price of hire to the customer.

17. Road Restrictions
All vehicles may only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads or campsite grass pitches suitable for campervans. I acknowledge that vantourgo.co.uk reserves the right at any time, at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions or any other reasonable cause.

18. Pets
I the hirer will not allow animals to be carried in the vehicle without the prior consent of vantourgo.co.uk. I the hirer will pay the additional pet cleaning charge of £45 and understand that I am expected to return the vehicle in a reasonable condition, cleaned of visible pet hair and dirt.
Fowl smells where fumigation and extra cleaning is needed may incur additional charges/fees.
I the hirer acknowledge that vantourgo.co.uk reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning charge/fee (in addition to the pet cleaning charge/fee of £45) if reasonable efforts to clean the campervan of pet hair and dirt have not been made.

19. Definitions of Terms and Conditions
I the hirer, me or my are descriptive words to describe the person who is hiring the campervan from vantourgo.co.uk

20. Terminating the Agreement
I the hirer acknowledge that vantourgo.co.uk may terminate this agreement and/or repossess the vehicle at any time, without notification to me and that I the hirer will pay reasonable costs of repossessing the vehicle, including towing charges if:
I the hirer is in breach of any terms of this agreement.
I the hirer have obtained the vehicle through fraud or misrepresentation.
The vehicle appears to be abandoned.
The vehicle is not returned on the agreed return date or vantour.co.uk reasonably believes that the vehicle will not be returned by the agreed return date. Vantourgo.co.uk considers on reasonable grounds, that the safety of passengers or the condition of the vehicle is endangered.
I the hirer understand that in the event of such termination or repossession,
I the hirer have no right to a refund of any part of the rental charges or the security deposit.

21. Changes
Any changes to this agreement must be in writing and must be signed on behalf of vantourgo.co.uk and me the hirer.

22. Proper Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England in which this agreement was signed.

23. My Warranties
I warrant that all information supplied by me the hirer to vantourgo.co.uk in connection with this agreement is whole and true.

24. Entire Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other oral undertakings, warranties or agreements between the parties relating to the subject matter of this agreement. Vantourgo.co.uk reserves the right to add or amend any rental charges without prior notice.

25. Agreement
I acknowledge that all the details I have given about myself are to the best of my knowledge, truthful and accurate and I agree to be bound by vantourgo.co.uk terms and conditions and that I have read the terms and conditions on your website.
